U3A event: Blue skies and fruit flies: Patterns in biology

13 February 2018

Time: 14:00 - 16:00

 Fruit Fly Pattern

U3A members are invited to discover how insights from the humble fruit fly could affect human health in this event in partnership with the University of the Third Age. Crick scientists Jean-Paul Vincent and Sophie Herszterg work at the cutting edge of curiosity-driven or 'blue skies' research, studying the incredible complexity of the fruit fly wing to uncover patterns in biology that could affect human health in the future.

This event is open to all members of the U3A across the UK and will be included in the November edition of the U3A magazine, Third Age Matters. To book your place please visit www.u3a.org.uk/events

A recording of the talks will be available on our Highlights page following the event.
