We have published A new home for science and discovery, our annual review looking back at our achievements and activities in 2016/17.
The 40-page review covers 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017, the year in which 94 research groups, 1500 people and 17,500 pieces of equipment were moved into the Crick Laboratory, our brand new home in St Pancras.
It outlines our progress against the five priorities in our strategy Discovery without boundaries. This includes a round-up of a handful of scientific advances made during the year in areas from influenza to leukaemia. Other highlights from the year, such as the creation of spin-out companies and the first exhibition in our public gallery, are also covered.
In the introduction, our director Paul Nurse says: "We are proud of what we've achieved this year, building on years of careful planning by the Crick and its founding partners to realise the visions of a major new biomedical research institute for the UK. We have a spectacular new home and we look forward to working together, making scientific discoveries that will bring new understanding of the biological processes that underpin human disease."
