Other universities

The Crick engages with graduate research schools and training programmes worldwide. As such, a small number of students register at universities other than Crick's partner universities. Some of these students follow the Crick PhD programme whilst others follow the PhD programme of their home institution. All of these students, regardless of where they register, are fully integrated into the Crick PhD student cohort and have access to the wide range of training and facilities the Crick offers.

Examples of relationships the Crick has with other research schools and training programmes are listed below:

  • Some of the Crick's Doctoral Clinical Fellows register with the Institute of Cancer Research or with Barts / Queen Mary University of London.
  • The Crick is part of a collaborative Chemical Biology PhD programme run by Oxford University in collaboration with GSK.
  • The Crick has an existing relationship with the Open University.  As an Affiliated Research Centre (ARC), the Crick is able to register PhD students with the Open University. Further information about the the Open University's ARCs can be found here.
  • Marie Skłodowska-Curie Initial Training Networks (research areas including: MetaRNA, TBC). For information click here.
